You can also apply following deal and get this monitor for: $448

You may not be able to see an increase in visual quality in comparison with a 1440p with just a 27" panel:

Looks like a new version, better than the poorly-reviewed prior versions.

I see a 28 4k IPS monitor at MonoPrice, The two 27inch are WQHD 2560x1440? With the Dell it $174 cheaper minus the extra inch.

I wonder if 4k monitors will hit $300 this year (60 hz ones). I can't decide if I should get a TV or monitor. A large screen would be nice like the 55UB8500 but the input lag might be horrible for games.

I'm excited for these to drop down to <=$300. I built my Hackintosh in July 2014, and although my hardware is powerful enough for a 4k monitor (i7 4770k + GTX 770), I just really like my Qnix QX2710, and I don't think I crave that sharp text enough to upgrade just yet. <=$300 though, and then I'll be ready.

Just bought three of these @ $477.05 ea out the door; purchased 3 $400 Dell gift cards and used the $150 bonus cards on the order. Had to call in and place three separate orders though as you can only use three forms of payment at a time: $400 GC, $50 GC, and CC. Good luck!
