I snagged an E5440

i7-4600u
8gb ram
1600x900 screen
GT720m
6cell (I didn't want the 9 cell jumbo battery)

For 377 OTD.

The Vostro 5470 seems cool too but I can't find a decent review on them anywhere. The 768 screen kinda kills it though... but that video card is pretty strong.

Just a word of caution if you have a nice system for an awesome price - do not go into chat. I have had 2 instances where they asked me to remove the system from my cart and then they could not find it. A buddy had the same thing happen as well. Ironically, he tried chat again with a bad system/price ratio and did not have the problem - he did not end up buying that system. Not sure if it is an issue with Dells internal system or sales reps buying the systems for themselves for resale or for friends etc.....

Why would you go into chat anyway? If its to ask a question about the system, then I understand... but removing it from your cart is just silly. If they asked you to remove it from the cart, it was so they can find it and then set up the sale for you so they get commission. After you take it out of your cart, it takes a little time for the system to refresh anyway. I doubt they are doing any funny business, I just assume someone snagged it quicker than the dell rep could find it.

Still, good word of caution to outlet newbies.

You can only use 1 gift card in the online checkout system. If you have multiple gift cards (i.e. $50 promo one plus $400 reg. one) you will need to use chat to check out. I was able to call right after checking out online though and they did apply the promo card.
