Dell U2415 24" UltraSharp Monitor with 3 Year Warranty on sale. Not as good as last year's $275 price. I use two on my work desk setup in series to my MacBook Pro. Fantastic monitors. Can't rave enough about that; specially at this price point.

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/revie..._u2415.htm talks about it vs the U2413 as well.

this replaces the U2412M, NOT the U2413

I just picked up 2 U2414 yesterday. I can sell those -- but was wondering how does this compare to the U2414? I am using it for photoshop. Are the color reproduction better?

You can get it at tigerdirect for same price w/ no tax. Although I don't know about the warranty. Seems to also be 3 years.

$15 cheaper going through Dell's Employee & Students Discount link.

U2415 [dell.com] - $285

U2715H [dell.com] - $499

Dell -> For Home -> Employee & Students Discounts -> University Students -> TVs and Monitors -> Monitors -> Ultrasharp Monitors -> U2415 or U2715H

The link does open a new tab/page so I don't know how it will affect cashback confirmation.

They are pretty much the same for your purposes according to the TFT central reviews. You should read them if you are a serious about your color work. Ask yourself if an extra 120 vertical pixels is worth it.

Tempting but I'm going to hold out for another possible $252, $280 or $323 (with $100 GC) deal.

If you need a new monitor NOW, this is a good deal. Since I don't need another monitor, I'll hold out.

I got one of these a couple months ago, and I am having the damndest time with it not wanting to wake up (or going back into power save mode) when I turn on my computer or wake it from sleep. Occasionally I'll get an actual error pop up on windows telling me the displayport isn't working properly. It's incredibly annoying to have to power the monitor on and off a few times to get it to come on or even having to shut down my computer and restart it for it to work. I was daisy chaining it to another dell P-series monitor I bought at the same time with the miniDP, but that was even worse since the U2415 had to be the primary monitor. Now with the P monitor hooked up via DVI I can at least see what's going on when the U one messes up (which is basically every day). It's almost to the point where I'm just going to use HDMI and be done with it. I'm using the cables that came with the monitors. Frown

Edit: The prices I paid were $294.49 for the U2415 and $123.49 for the P2214H.

Wow, looks gorgeous. Looks like they incorporated some ideas from the S2440 series and threw it into the U Series. Loving the thin bezel.
