use Discover cashback for an additional 10% off.

Applying WELC10 removes the free shipping Promo code. So total comes to $280.xx (- 10% Discover cashback)

Link works just fine, if you can take advantage of both the coupon and cashback you'll save almost $50 not to mention tax free. Have you ever seen this go below $250?

Also works for the "in" ear versions: http://www.sharperimage.com/si/vi...812?trail=

Looks like the Bose products have free shipping right now with an automatic promo code. You need to remove the promo code to apply the code the OP listed. $12.95 shipping for me. Still cheapest I've seen on these.

The link doesn't end at the item specified in this deal...therefore it is not working on IE.
I don't stalk these headphones or any Bose products because they're overpriced. Like most Bose products with speakers, they sound great brand new but that gradually wears off unlike some of my personal favorites. Bose headphones are great at noise cancellation which has been acknowledged time and again but I prefer other noise cancelling headphones with better sound and more money left in my pocket.

What's the big difference between these and the Peltor Tactical 100 deal on Home Depot for $35? Those can connect a headphone jack.

Just curious why these are 10 times the cost?

Just curious to see what can you recommend for a decent noise cancelling headphones? While I agree with you Bose products are overpriced but some of them are actually outstanding and you can't really go wrong given the right price. I don't own that many Bose products, just have a Bose 3.2.1 system that has been kicking for over 10 years and still sounds great, possibly my best purchase ever. Rather than that I have a Bose Soundlink Mini Bluetooth speaker, which still being considered as one of the best bluetooth speakers out there. I didn't pay full price for either so to me those are totally worth it.
Back to the headphones, I'm not much of an audiophile but I do own both the Sennheiser HD598 and HD650 so I think I know what to look for a headphones with decent sound quality but obviously I can't bring them with me when traveling since they're open cans. And AFAIK the QC25 is considered as one of the best in term of noise canceling so it's perfect for me during such long flights. I actually stopped by the Bose store to try it on and they sound surprisingly good enough to me.
Anyway I guess you can justify your purchase depends on what purpose you're gonna use it for, honestly I wouldn't even consider this if not for the noise cancelling feature.

it's a fair question. I asked myself that many times and purchased much cheaper Sony and Velodyne headsets....until I was upgraded once on a Lufthansa flight and they had these things in Business class. 2 reasons they are worth (almost) the premium: 1) you can wear them for hours and you'll never know they are on. I don't know why but any other type of headset I've used my ears have gotten sore from rubbing or pressing or something after an hour or so. Not so with these. I kept them on for hours on end listening to music and watching movies. no problems at all. 2) Besides having incredible sound, the noise canceling is awesome. I have a 200 dollar set of Sony noice canceling and they are good but not close to these. In all seriousness, when they are on and you're flying, you have no engine or other airplane noices at all. It was a little disconcerting at first because if the flight is smooth, you have no idea your flying. Lift them off your head and the rumble returns.

Just my experience. I agree, though. 300 bucks is pretty expensive, but if your flying a lot, like I do, then it raises them to the "more worth it" realm.

Just my 2 cents.

Best noise cancelling headset out there currently. Overpriced, yes, but I heard it's worth it..

What's really overpriced are the BEATS BY DRE HEADSETS.

Still way overpriced. I just ended up returning a pair of Bose SoundTrue Around-Ear Headphones and while I was pleasantly surprised with their comfort, I felt like for their price their sound quality left a bit to be desired. And unfortunately that's always the case with brands like Bose. Of course I knew that going in and would have been able to live with it (since comfort was my top priority), but the headphones wouldn't stay in place on my head when moving around even just the slightest.

Anyway my point is, you're going to be paying extra $$ just for brand name.

I bought some from Sharper Image at Christmas for my wife. With 10% off and no tax, it was 50 bucks cheaper than the local Best Buy.
