I posted on the KraftMaid Facebook page that I never received the retraction nor the second email saying I would be getting the prize. A few minutes later I received a call from the fulfillment company saying the reason I never got the retraction or any other emails was because I was one of the 3 actual winners! So awesome, that's back to being my first REAL win! I'm also happy they are going to honor their emails to everyone who they told were winners. Rare to see that from a company nowadays.
Well, congratulations again!
I received all the emails, including another one today, from the promotion company, saying that I will be receiving the $500 gift card in 2-4 weeks, once they confirm eligibility (which shouldn't be a problem since I read the rules & made sure I was eligible before entering).
I too thinks it's great that KraftMaid is going to honor all the prizes, even though the huge mistake was made, not by them, but by the promotion company.

That may or may not cover your service fees...and you can't combine em. Such low denominations are more like coupons then a gift card.

I won a $50 one...tried to use it to buy 3 CDS. Found out gift card can't be used for shipping costs. Put 4 cds in the cart, and realized they wanted $17 in shipping and handling. I really dislike ticketmaster/live nation. Still sitting on that and $25 one.

Bummer Frown - I had one last year and my daughter really wanted a pair of those 'shade' glasses (the plastic ones with the slits) so I ordered her a pair and was shocked to find they were the quality of the kind the eye doctor gives you when they dialate your eyes - disposable! That fixed me.

Low denominations-download mp3's and albums. Or hopefully, there will be a T-shirt sale-around $7 shipping/handling/tax isn't bad for an artist T.
$25 and $50's -TShirts go on sale for 12.50 and $10 quite frequently. Women's sizing can vary -check the reviews or call to find out if it is "teen" sizing or "adult".
There are lots of items that are $10 and under and some nice sales on hoodies, etc.
Try to buy items from one "store". I spent a $50 Live nation Cash code in "the Elvis store" last month and shipping/tax was $7.03. If I mixed "stores, even if only adding a Peabody or Bullwinkle 90 cent item, shipping/tax went up to $11.
Last year, I took Mom to Tim McGraw's Emotional Traffic tour concert-courtesy of Bud Lime. I bought both of us the concert T, with a Greatest Hits CD, with one $50 Live Nation code-total $9.87 (tax, shipping). We wore the shirts to the concert, where they were $35 ea.
For Christmas, Mom wanted another T. They went on sale for $12.50, added the concert CD, and a Christmas ornament-used a $25 Live Nation Cash-spent $11.03 total.(total merchandise was over by $2).
The concert T's are still available, but are now, $20 again. They don't seem to have the 2 cd's that I bought, but still have the Number 1 hits one for $9.99.

Look around the store. I definitely couldn't have bought the 3 T's, 2 CD's, and ornament for $20.90.
Check Ebay-the codes go for 50-80% of value. Of course, then you would have fees. I haven't sold on Ebay, so I'm not certain what those would total.

Use the $50 for two t-shirts. The shipping will cost ~$6.70 and the t-shirts are about $25 each, so you're paying $6.70 for two t-shirts. If you use the $25 to buy a t-shirt, the shipping is about the same...like $0.30 or $0.40 cheaper, but you're only getting one t-shirt. I never tried buying anything except t-shirts, but imagine it's ridiculous to ship that stuff.

The Live Nation cash is really a gimmick. They use it as a major tax deduction, and I imagine they get to claim it whether or not you end up using the actual code. So they get massive deductions for handing out a lot of them while still turning a profit by having people pay expensive shipping fees or have to offset the price of still-expensive goods due to low value Live Nation cash codes. I guess they're only handy if you go to concerts, but unfortunately, my parents and I had already purchased concert tickets long before I won any Live Nation cash. Of course.

My daughter always solves this issue for me. I had won 2 - $25.00 and 2 $10.00 from various contests. She purchased (2) $25.00 tickets for the Weenie Roast concert in Charlotte (I have no earthly idea what this is) and with the 2 - $10.00 codes, she purchased 4 - $6.00 tickets for "fast passes" to apparently get beer without waiting in line. She can ALWAYS find a use for them. Sometimes, she has to add a few dollars, but for the most part she and her husband goes for free. Smilie
