Micro Center B&M stores have the Raspberry Pi 2 Mode B 1GB in stock for $34.99. This isn't really a "deal" in terms of price, but just that it's in stock and if you're near a store there's no shipping. I was able to return my RPi B+ I bought a week ago to get it.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Can some Raspberry Pi Gurus post some noob friendly projects in the Wiki. Your opinion > google search Smilie

I'm no guru, but I have aPi configured as an Airplay receiver [raywenderlich.com] and connected to an old receiver, which is installed in a gutted antique hifi system. It works perfectly, and connects more reliably than my Pioneer A3 Airplay speaker. -scavengertype

I embedded a raspberry pi in an espresso machine, so it can be controlled by a smartphone: http://ispresso.net. -- veggiebenz

Here are some Raspberry Pi based projects for inspiration - https://hackaday.io/projects/tag/raspberry%20pi

I just noticed, why do they call it PIE on their website? laugh out loud

Autocorrect I assume. They seem to have put in all that information super quick since none of the specs are in. I was trying to type Pi on my Swype keyboard yesterday and it kept autocorrecting it to Pie.

Lots of people use them to power weather stations, if that is of any interest to you. You can get an Ambient weather station like the WS-2095 and use the Pi to send data to wunderground and/or a web server.

My weather station uses an old netbook, but if the netbook dies I plan to switch to a Pi.

I never said they didn't have their use. I'll probably make an N64 emulator box or file server or something like that with it since it has 4 USB ports. Still stand by what I said that ARM isn't ready to take over x86 on anything that requires productivity.

I called the Tustin store a few hours ago when a redditor posted about their availability in Cleveland. I don't think they've received their initial stock yet so keep your eyes peeled. Glad to see the website got updated with the Pi 2 so we don't have to keep calling.

If you are close to Springboro, OH , you can do will-call from http://www.mcmelectronics.com/ (same brand as Micro Center) but they are on back order also.
