but what was weird is that before when i have unlocked an iphone for international use they usually ask me to activate the iphone on my account for 14 days then request the unlock.
this time the chat rep at the sprint international dept, said she was going to request an unlock for an inactive device and didn't need to put it on my account. She just asked that the iphone had to have been previously activated on a sprint account and in good standing and the request would take 5-7 business days to do. so i got an email for both iphones in 7 days.
to make the long story short i restored both iPhones and just for the hell of it put it sim cards from local carriers and they worked, so sprint has started to unlock iphones earlier than they said they would with was 2/11/2015
i have taken pictures of both my 4s and 5 sprint iPhones as proof
heres the link to the sprint chat i used
