Hey everyone,

I wanted to share another good and cost effective wireless Bluetooth game controller to use on your smartphone and tablets and even on PC/laptops for emulators/ROMs and apps.

http://www.gamestop.com/android/a...-v2/104425

It's on sale for $7.97 both online (+ shipping to home) and in-store (can order online for in-store pickup). And there are plenty of these in-stores every Gamestop so check your local Gamestop using zipcode inventory availability.

Edit: Online is unavailable now but in-store pickup and finding in-store works perfectly well! So go ahead and search your local Gamestop!

Select "Pick up at store / Check Availability" option of item page.

Edit #2: It seems for online stock keeps coming back on and off randomly, switching from available to unavailable to available to unavailable to available yet again. But in-store pickups are always unchanged and depends on however many stock your local Gamestop has.

Edit #3: This controller seems to be on sale for another full week of 2/15 - 2/21 according to this week's online deal/ad.

Edit #4: It continues to be on sale again for another week! Is this the new permanent price?

----------------------------------

Features:
  • Connect to your Android tablet via Bluetooth
  • Dual Player Compatibility - Sync two controllers to a single device for multiplayer action
  • Keyboard or Gamepad Commands - Flip the controller between traditional Gamepad or Keyboard Mode. In Keyboard mode, configure each button individually for a completely customizable experience
  • Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery - Play for up to 8 hours on a single charge
  • 30 Foot Maximum Range - Hook your tablet up to your TV and play from the comfort of your couch
  • Works with most Android tablets on the market (Android 3.x or later)

----------------------------------

Final Notes / 2 cents:

Despite the name and being homemade by Gamestop, this can play and work pretty well on my Android smartphone, Windows 8.1 tablet and my Windows 7 desktop and laptop. I could even play steam games with this controller.

I remember getting it for $10 last year when it was on sale back then, normal price when it first came out was $25.

If you're looking for a cheap wireless/Bluetooth controller to use on your games that you wouldn't spend tens of dollars more like PS3/4, XBOX, or MOGA controllers, this would be a good option for those on budget.

For those wondering yes these work just fine on an Amazon Fire TV stick. It does not have to be rooted for you to remap the buttons. It depends on the emulator. There's an easy guide here that can help those not used to working with ADB.
Sideload to Fire TV - http://sideloadfiretv.com/
Install ROMS and emulators - http://deanvaughan.org/wordpress/...emulators/

I played with two controllers last night and was able to remap the NES and SNES buttons just fine and save the profile.

I can confirm this works with firetv. Make sure to charge before connecting

I got one of the older versions when they were on sale for $12. It works great for epsxe. Had minor issues using with windows that could be solved by changing mode and using third-party mapping software (don't know how this version works but will definitely be buying at least one).

Nice controller. Feels like a PS3 but pairs with normal BT protocols. I went though a couple before finding a good one. First one had a screwed up left analog and the second wouldnt work without being plugged into power.

You probably got the first generation model, this is the next/second generation of that game controller line. The first generation had quite some bad reviews so I never touched on that one but this one have decent reviews on Gamestop, youtube and elsewhere.

As I have used this for few months (before moving on to Xbox 360 controller on PC and MOGA controllers for android), I didn't find any problems in terms of charging or connecting with bluetooth nor the need to use a 3rd-party mapping software.

But you're right, these controllers are definitely nice to use on emulators like epsxe.

I played a whole run of Kingdom Hearts 1 on PS2 emulator without ever recharging it. Also played Kingdom Hearts 2 in a single charge lol.

Seemed like you went thru a series of bad controllers. Have you tried exchanging it or contacting for warranty? Should have 1 year warranty I believe and these are cheap enough I'm sure they'll replace it easily for you.

If this works with steam games, will this also work with Origin games too? Also anyone know the return policy? (Can it be returned in store?)

I never tried Origin games but maybe someone else can know the answer.

This is a bluetooth controller which if a game has any bluetooth controller support and you paired your controller with laptop/desktop, chances are the game will detect the controller.

As for return policy...

http://www.gamestop.com/gs/help/Returns.aspx - Orders from online

http://www.gamestop.com/gs/help/S...cy0623.pdf - Purchases in-store

Depending on whether this counts as "accessories" or "merchandise" also differs the return policy....

Accessories means full refund within 30 days or purchase OPENED OR UNOPENED.

Merchandise can only go for identical exchange within 30 days if opened, full refund if unopened.

Hope that helps.

I've never shopped at GameStop before. For store pickup, if you want 2, do you need to submit 2 separate requests? I don't see any options to increase quantity

Either buy a 360 (Wireless) controller for Windows, or get a DS4, and use the built-in BT on the Surface Pro and emulate the DS4 to be seen as a 360 controller. The latter option is cool because you can use the touchpad part like a mouse.
