Nice deal here - it looks like it does 60Hz at 4k! I will be picking one up as my new monitor and running it over HDMI 2.0

This represents the LOWEST we have seen a 42" 4K HDMI 2.0 set capable of 60hz UHD go for EVER on SD!

God, how I hate SD redirects. I can't get to half the goddamned links from this site cause all the redirects get blocked.

its $450 at amazon and tiger direct, plus shipping. so this is the cheapest, but its very misleading that groupon claims its 51% off!

can't find a single review. and I would have bet big money that Quasar as a brand name was long dead and buried.

Panasonic owns the Quasar Name. The device is made by PDI. Its probably a decent device really, but I don't need a tv and I don't have 500.00

Use of the brand ceased in 2005 - this is now a relabeled Panasonic panel!

Looks like a decent deal, but the cost to CA had a bit higher shipping costs. Came out to be $414.86. Probably has to do with the E-Waste tax though.

How do you guys know this will do 60 hz as computer monitor? Seiki 4k advertises high refresh but can only do 30 hz as monitor. I want a 4k TV that will be my primary monitor but also act as a TV.

It specifically states UHD 60Hz and also has HDMI 2.0, implying that it can do 60Hz at 4K resolution

The contrast ratio and response time are also solid. Can't wait to try this out for video editing and 4k gaming. Farcry 4 should look amazing

42" is a sweetspot for 4K computing I'd say. The scaling issues become less apparent if you just leave everything native - all of the real estate makes it more managable. I use a 32" now so this will be a bump up but I can always just VESA mount this and move my desk back as necessary. No one ever complained of a screen being too big!
