M5 Pro [eurocom.com] (Clevo P650SE)

10% off coupon: EUROCOM-GLJ-M5P10-150228 (enter in message box after clicking on "order")
I posted that one before, but in the wrong forum (deal discussion)
When you compare it to other P650SE laptops from other store, remember to include in the price an IPS display and thermal paste upgrade. Also remember that some don't come with the TPM 2.0 chip which is useful (like the Sagers)
About the unknown "Eurocom" brand - it's just a Clevo rebranding, like many others stores/brands (XoticPC Sager, OriginPC, Prostar, power notebooks, MySN.de, One,de, and many more). They are well known and have many reviews over the web

Basic configuration:

- I7-4710HQ
- GTX 970M GPU
- 1x8GB DDR3L
- 1080p IPS B156HAN01.2 display
- 2.6kg more or less
- Diamond 24 thermal paste
- TPM 2.0
- 4 storage bays, 2 SATA and 2 M.2. One occupied by the 500GB HDD
- no OS included

Reviews: 1 [urlhasbeenblocked.com], 2 [notebookreview.com] (4K)

Seems like you can reduce the price even further by choose the sub-$55 WiFi option, which in not an AC option.

For $1200 it's currently the cheapest with an IPS display. You also get a TPM 2.0 module and an upgraded Diamond 24 thermal paste included in the price, which is nice.
It's more cost effective than GTX 860M options, or GTX 965M, even if a 965M was selling for $1000 so I think such a price will continue to be competitive in the near future too.

* A note : better buy it with CAD and not USD, as the price is lower that way

I'd rather go with a $900 lenovo with a GTX 860M and save $300. Plus a legit OS license and support from a major brand. Savings are enough to get a SSD and upgrade RAM. No TD from me, but I don't like the idea of spending more than 1K on a laptop.

I don't too, but many people here like the $1100-$1200 GTX 870M options, so why not 970M and an IPS display?

About OS license - they are all the same, what does it matter if it's a small store or not?

Guys/girls - if you don't like it, please tell me and I'll erase it, not reason to downvote.
It's certainly a good deal as you get the same machine for $150 less compared to other stores

It is really a good deal for a 970m not mention it have 4 HD bays (2 MSATA and 2 SATA) which is first i see in laptops. I really want pull the trigger on this, but it really over my budget, so I am waitting for Lenovo's new Y50 coming out in march with 970m or 965m because Lenovo does give out pretty good student discounts. once it is out i will compare it with this if this deal still going and decide which one to jump on.
anyway TU!

Honestly, gaming laptops are all over priced. They are meants for the pure enthusiast to own. For everyone else go on ebay and get last years models sometimes for as little as $600-700 like I have done with the Asus RPOG laptops. Great pieces of machinery ill give them that, but I would never spend the $1200-2k they are asking for them brand new.

Because a lot of people here are not familiar with the Clevo/eurocom/Sager brand. This is obviously a customizable laptop but these people would rather pay $$$ for a familiar brand and call it a day. But yeah, this is definitely a thumbs up!

I personally LOVE my clevo p377sm-a (Sager branding) dual gtx980 in sli, best gaming laptop I have ever owned! The only other laptop I would have considered is the Dominator GT80

While not a bad deal, I don't care for clevo laptops. I have one and the fan in it has a mind of its own running full speed kicking out cold air until I out it to sleep and wake it back up.

I would give a model number but it is sitting on my desk at work.

they're not at all overpriced for the gamer who travels extensively. I've been in the market for a sager/clevo with similar specs for some time, and would pull the trigger, but don't absolutely need to buy at this moment. this is a good deal at this price point compared to what I've seen in the past month or so.

Actually, the news are that it will have a GTX 960M, which is a GTX 860M with a little overclock (probably). Also, 965M for $1000 won't be as cost effective as this one, but yea - $1200 for a laptop is not little money. The new Y50 should have an IPS display as a default which is great
I didn't like the Y50, however - the keyboard and only 1 SATA didn't do it for me. I wonder if the new one will be different.

1. Not sure. Can you refer to any specific ROG laptop?
2. The Eurocom brand is only a Clevo rebrand and Clevos are well known in the last years, also reviewed by many "big" sites. They have big fan base too (check the notebookreview forums)

It really depends on the mode. The P650SE is a very quiet machine even relatively low noised under load

Canadian reseller, has anyone here had to return a laptop to them from the U.S:?

If so, how was the service?

1. return to get a refund or for warranty?
2. Only purchased, didn't return anything yet
3. From what I heard, service could be better, but they are generally ok

Looks intriguing, thanks - question: What exactly is the coupon good for? Can I also use it to upgrade to 980m either on this particular model or on another closely related model? (like any of these: Clevo P650SG / P651SG [alteredqualia.com])

Thanks for posting this - awesome deal! This laptop comes with a new gen graphics card, a 4k screen options, 4 drive bays, and a number of other hard-to-find features (a touchpad with actual buttons on it!) and still weighs 5lbs. Also, reviews seem to think that the build quality and the cooling are great, so while this isn't a bargain laptop, it seems appropriately priced for the specs. I just wish it came around a couple of months ago when I was looking for something like this...
