Southern California Metrolink is offering 2 free round trip tickets to people who live and/or work in Orange/Los Angeles County. This is to relieve stress along the I-5 corridor. However, it's still 2 free round trip tickets. MUST put an LA or OC county work zip code for the offer to be valid.

To claim:
1. Visit http://metrolinkfreeride.com/
2. Fill out the form for them to send you the tickets
3. Answer 3 questions about your commuting patterns
4. Wait for your free round trip tickets to come!

One zipcode must be in LA and the other zipcode must be in OC, or vice versa. It only worked if you "travel" between the counties.

* Requests may take six to eight weeks to process.
* Limit one promotional ticket per household. Address submitted has already been used for this campaign. If residents of an apartment complex have received an error message, please include apartment number to qualify for this offer.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

For those getting a we're sorry not eligible message, I think the key may be making sure one zip code is in OC and one is in LA.

I did it for Santa Ana which works. 92703

Tried a zipcode for Fountain Valley, which is down the street, doesn't work. Weird. Maybe you have to be near a train station?

For LA county, did you try putting a zipcode for Orange County as the work?

Well I guess Metrolink is super picky, that sucks, sorry.

It worked for me 92703 to 90001 (Santa Ana to Los Angeles).

I think the key may be making sure one zip code is in OC and one is in LA.

It didn't work for me when both zip codes I used were in OC, but it went through without a problem when I changed one to a bit further north.
