really worth it if you don't need wireless AC, as the wireless on here is fast enough for 105Mb/s download speed on wired and wireless.

Any point in me getting this if we already have the "nighthawk" AC router? Comcasts speeds are pretty good wirelessly (spotty at times), but perhaps I can somehow use this thing as an extender or something else? Maybe as a "backup" if it's worth this price? I know nothing and I suck with tech stuff heh, can anyone let me know their thoughts?

Does it run DD-WRT and/or Tomato?

EDIT: It does run DD-WRT.

This is one of those times it really really helps to read the description of the product you're buying Wink

Can run DD-WRT firmware instead of Netgear's own clunky admin system.

Almost pulled the trigger until I read the off-putting reviews on Amazon:

Off-pudding? That sounds like something Bill Cosby would make for one for one of his victims.

I don't think you could install dd-wrt on this router yet based on the what i see on dd-wrt website.

Doesn't look like this supports any open-source firmware. :/

Too bad, I could use a cheap secondary router to do some experimenting with.
