Hopefully not a repost. T-Mobile announced today that they will pay off anything left on your device, up to $650 per line. It also includes Sprint leases, although I'm not sure how that would work. This is great for those who aren't on contract and didn't qualify for the ETF reimbursement.

They are also guaranteeing that promotional plans will be permanent. As long as you sign up during the time the promo is offered, you will get to keep that promo. Unlimited data is guaranteed not to change price for the next 2 years.

It starts March 22nd, 2015.

Post #205: There seems to be quite a bit of confusion going on between this NEW promo to pay off your devices, and the OLD promo to pay off your ETF. I will try and explain the difference between the two...

1) T-MOBILE WILL PAY OFF YOUR ETF (for those who subsidized their device AND signed a 2-year contract)
With this promo, T-Mobile will pay your contract ETF off for AT&T, VERIZON, SPRINT, or any other carrier (I think) when you:
a) Sign up for a new plan/line with T-Mobile.
b) Port your existing number over from your old carrier.
c) Trade-in your device and buy a new phone from T-Mobile.
d) Submit your final carrier bill showing your ETF for each line.

2) T-MOBILE WILL PAY OFF YOUR DEVICE (for those who financed their device over a number of months but did NOT sign a contract extension)
With this promo, T-Mobile will pay off your remaining payments on your AT&T, VERIZON, SPRINT, or other carrier (maybe) device when you:
a) Sign up for a new plan/line with T-Mobile.
b) Port your existing number over from your old carrier.
c) Trade-in your current device and buy a new phone from T-Mobile (must be the same device that is being paid off).
d) Submit your final carrier bill showing the billed balance of your device (I think).

These two options are NOT the same! A person can opt for Option #1, #2, or #1 AND #2 (I guess if some lines are out-of-contract but the device is being financed).

I love my T-Mobile.

Can't wait for the coverage grid to expand even further and keep twisting the arm of AT&T and Verizon.

I'm with you. I have had Verizon and AT&T, and I currently have T-Mobile. From price to support to coverage in an urban city, T-Mobile has been the best for me.

Yes, and you are not alone. I get receipt at my desk, but when I go into the mail room with all walls on four sides except for the door, the signal is lost.

Thanks, added to the OP. Your second link doesn't work, though.

EDIT: Never mind, it works, but it's html, not htm.

They should offer you a free microcell to expand your signal.

Hmm I wonder if it's worth it to switch from the Sprint SERO Premium I have for my new iPhone 6 and iPad mini. I'll give them a call and see what they can do.

will be interesting to see if they allow to trade in any working phone (like their etf reimbursement program) and allow to buy a dumb phone from them ( the link in OP says it should be a smart phone purchase)
