Don't get this confused with the Surface Pro 3...

Intel Atom?

A $600 tablet that performs like a <$200 one. Awesome.

you mean like the ipad?

FYI the intel atom x7 is purported to have 80% of the performance of the SP3 i3, which is pretty decent for a fanless SoC.

I just saw a preview of this product and scoffed at the extra 130 for a keyboard. Smart to bundle it all.

Maybe an intel atom is all some people need. People be buying crazy and expensive computers for simple PC usage. I as a college student could use this for school at a price which I think is perfect compared to what other tablets at same price or more expensive once. Yet itll perform better. This might not be for YOU but it will be for thousands of other people.

Way overpriced. $300 tops for 4GB/128GB SSD version, considering the state of windows+atom tablet sales.
Don't really care whether its new atom or old atom, 8.1 or 10 etc. Hang tight for the back to school season to start.

"IF" you think this is a deal, why not go with the Costco $100 upgrade version which gives 4GB and 128SSD?

This is a college student or traveling business critter's wet dream. I would expect a lot of business from those two groups, particularly the 128/4gb combo.

Probably Microsoft's finest product to date (albeit with some help from Intel, who finally became relevant in mobile).

And that's why you're not a CEO.

Good find OP.
