I hear mixed on it. Its an HD remake of a PSP game thats about 2 years old. Also I hear not all the graphics were redone so you can have player characters all fancy stand next to pixelated NPC's.

However the camera made me opt not to get it. Motion blur you cannot disable and it snaps around real fast and sharp. I was getting motion sick watching videos.

I think it only sold for the FFXV demo.

thanks, buddy. When I saw videos on YouTube, the game did not sound worthy for me.

Anything more to add?

I bought it. It is okay, but I returned it because it looked terrible and felt a bit stale in some ways. For $40 it is worth it. I will probably wait until it is $20 before I try to play it again.

Its a game for any hardcore FF fan. I personally enjoyed it but I also played the original over 3 years ago on the PSP.

Get it if you want to play the FFXV demo which people say was worth the $60 spent on Type-0. Also some people are turned off by the localization being poor for Type-0 but that's all subjective.

this game has severe SEVERE motion blur (vomit-inducing) issue. for those who cant deal with motion blur sickness, then wait for the patch or for it to drop $20 or lower.

Looks like it's the Day One edition which comes with the demo for FFXV as well. Just platinumed the game yesterday, and it's well worth it. I got it for ~$40 on release, so I'm feeling pretty good right about now.

I also played the PSP version and completed it back then.
Is the motion blue issue other people commenting here something new? I never had any issues with the PSP version.

I just beat it for the first time. It's a good game, not great, but good. The issue I had was with the multiple characters and how it's hard to really care for any of them. You don't really get to know the background of anyone. Took me 18 hrs to beat. The motion blur didn't bother me. It's not as bad as people say IMO.

Had hopes for this game earlier this year to hold me over until FFXV. As release date approached and I saw more videos, it just didn't seem like that great of a remake. Plus there's other games around the time this released that are more interesting like Bloodborne and tomorrow's MKX.

Glad I passed on this game. Maybe at $20 I'd bite.

I bought the game on day one, does anyone know if Best Buy would price match this?

Not worth $40. Maybe $20 max.

Motion Blur is disgusting
Not a true HD remaster
Characters are lacking - most are just boring to play
Combat gets super stale fairly fast (2-3hrs)

SE released this at full price just because they knew people would buy it with the FFXV demo voucher. Pretty sad.
