Non-touch, but all the specs on this laptop are quite good, especially for a 5th Gen (Newest), Intel processor.

Damn! Got the Asus i3 recently from Amazon warehouse for $327. This seems a lot better. Damnit.

anyone know how hard it is to replace the hard drive on this laptop? Looks like there might be ribbon disconnection involved?

Normally I say without a touchscreen not worth it. This on the other just squeaks by my normal requirement cause the hardware is pretty darn good for that price. Overall if someone is looking for a quality laptop this is a good deal. I still recommend a laptop with touchscreen though, everything is moving that way, and it makes things so much easier cause you don't have to carry a secondary mouse if you don't like the track pad.

i have a HP Envy touch screen from 2013 and i hated it so much, for some reason it mess up the web browsing which i don't have any logical reason to explain, i had to disable it in the device manager and the laptop finally became usealbe again

Cant tell you if there is a ribbon or not to disconnect, but I know you have to take apart the whole bottom to get to it. From what I read this has to be done to max out the ram to 16GB as well so if you plan on doing that you might as well do both at once.

What puzzles me is this influx of 6GB memory devices. Is there a glut of 2GB sticks someone just realized were doomed for landfills so they're just tossing them in wherever they can? Heck even the imminent GTX 980 Ti is rumored to have 6GB of memory. Weirdsville.
