Posted on their Facebook and Twitter accounts. The bare tool alone is normally $99 and this comes with a case, battery and charger.

Doesn't mention anywhere about a case? Hard or soft? Only two places sell this part number, HD and Ace hardware. Is there an identical unit that uses a different part number? I'm thinking

Looks like a great deal for a homeowner (one battery)! TU

pity it was not a drill not a impact wrench as most people don't need an impact wrench

seems like good price,

I would say I use my impact at home more than the drill. you can get drill bits for the impact that most diy projects would need. plus, the impact is MUCH better at placing screws in pretty much anything.

I agree. Hex bits are everywhere and easy to switch out. I work with impacts 90% of the time. Use it at low rpm's and it's fine for drilling. The only problem people run into is poor quality steel used in some screws causing them to strip easily. Same goes for the bits.

Home Depot currently has the Milwaukee 18v drill driver in-store for $99 (one battery, charger, and a hard case) Although they may be out of them at your local store. But I agree with the74impala, I find the impact driver much more useful.

Yeah. I wish it was an impact wrench.

lol...not an impact WRENCH, it's an impact DRIVER. If the biggest hole you'll drill is 1/4", it won't even switch to impact. It'll run a bunch of bits up to probably around 1". It'll really shine when you drive a screw with it. You'll never, ever, ever go back to a regular drill. You can get bits that will let you put a socket on it and use it to drive nuts/bolts too. It does a good job at that as well, as long as you don't need a huge amount of torque.

Honestly, for most people, the only reason to ever choose a regular drill over an impact driver is if you frequently drill larger holes. I use my cordless drill to drill up to 4.75" holes on occasion - an impact driver will NEVER do this. Still though, my impact gets used at least 90% of the time I reach into the tool bag.

Here's a picture from an eBay listing that shows the 2656-21 kit in a hard case.

Also attaching a picture from the Home Depot Facebook page [facebook.com]. That confirms it comes with a hard case and charger.
