Good sale. Some notes:

Fare Availability:
Valid for travel on the outbound from late August – early December for Monday through Thursday departures. All travel must be completed by December 31st. Must purchase at least 30 days in advance of departure

While Korean Air is in Skyteam, you will earn no Delta status earning miles, and only 50% redeemable miles for E and K class tickets. 75% miles for M, S, H class.

You can probably get a free or low cost stop over in Seoul as part of this trip. Seoul is pretty nice to visit.

Korean air is one of the best airline for service.

Please, no jokes about Asian airline safety... Your chances of crashing is lower than winning the lottery.

Checked Kayak and United direct flight on 9-01 to 10-01 is only $688. Would save 3 hours compared to Korean Air.

This is a good price, I flew with Singapore Airlines in Nov 2014-Dec2014 to Singapore then Hong Kong for about $1000-2000, forgot exactly how much.

I flew with them twice going to Hong Kong. Both times service is very prompt and friendly. Food is consider good for airline meals even when I order a special meal. The seating are not too crammed and are comfortable. Last Nov, I traveled to Singapore before Hong Kong, experience was better than I thought it would be. Flight attendants are mostly younger and good looking, I tried to apply for a job at Singapore, no news I guess I'm too old? laugh out loud

They also have a wide selection of on-board entertainment, American movies, Asian Movies, Drama, Shows.

I will consider both Cathay Pacific or Singapore Airlines to Hong Kong, except Cathay Pacific economy seats are too hard on my butt and does not give me enough lumbar support. Both airlines also have amazing Business class seats.

US airlines and their poor customer service will get more international competition soon!
