Was at my local Target and this 2014 model was just put on clearance for $649.99 plus the extra 5% using my Red Card. The regular price was $1300.

I found one in stock but it is the model that is on the wall/display for $445 (CSR person said its been on the wall for 8 months 14 hours per day)

would anybody recommend buying this TV for that price?

Yes. For that price, I would scoop it right up, as long as there was no significant damage to the screen or anything.

For $445, that sounds like a steal to me. Most TVs these days are rated to run between 50,000-100,000 hours.

Just make sure what the return policy is on floor models and that there are no "burns" into the screen.
