No doesn't do 4:4:4 chroma

only one HDMI 2.0

VA Panel so off viewing angles aren't that great

Old stock basically getting moved at a reduced rate.

Do newer decent sets exist that have 4K 4:4:4 + low input lag and good htpc picture for 60"+ class under $1500?

Has anyone used the slickdeals rebates? They seem new to me, unless I've never paid attention. Are they reliable and trustworthy?

If the rebate is good, this is a great deal.

Matters not to those who aren't connecting a PC to it.

Not an issue for those with an AV receiver that does HDMI switching for them.

For 90% of the viewing public, VA is the only 4k panel they should buy. IPS has extremely low contrast ratios and poor black levels, but does well for those watching in well-lit rooms or those with extremely wide viewing areas. For the rest of us, VA all the way. This is coming from someone who bought and demoed 2015 4k sets from LG (IPS) and Samsung (VA) within the last month.

Correct, which is why it's $900 for a 60" 4k panel. If you want new stock 60" 4k, get at least 15 bills out.

If the rebate is good, this is a great deal.

They've been around for about a year now.

What is the difference between old stock and new stock? I am looking for one for pc around 40-50 inch.

The VA panels have much better blacks though and most 4k sets don't do 4:4:4 chroma. this at least has a native 120 HZ. There is no P series announced this year yet and this is the to of the line for 2014. It's a very slick deal. One hdmi 2.0 is sufficient. Just make sure you have a receiver.

This is a damn, damn good deal for a beautiful TV. 4:4:4 is a moot point with current tech for the most part and 4:2:2 4K is stunning in it's own right, so don't let that be a negative factor. For the price you won't find anything close to this.
