This summer Lowes is theming their Build and Grow event with the Avengers. 6 workshops over the summer (every 2 weeks) to build another one of the avengers' vehicles.

Apparently instead of a normal badge, you get a piece of a badge (and their base) to combine at the end for one.

Schedule:

June 13th: Avenjet (Iron Man)
June 27th Motorcycle (Capt America)
July 11th: Skycycle (Black Widow)
July 25th: Quinjet (Hawkeye)
August 8th: Tank (Hulk)
August 22nd: Chariot (Thor)

Registrations tend to open up 2 weeks before each event (so basically right after the event since these summer ones are running twice per month) at http://lowesbuildandgrow.com/pages/default.aspx.

right now it's the Mother's day planter for May 9th, so we should expect Avenjet registrations to open on the 30th.

Here is how I able to be those first people to register every time:
  1. go to www.changedetection.com
  2. paste "http://lowesbuildandgrow.com/pages/default.aspx" to Page Address field
  3. enter your email in Send alert to field
  4. click next and follow the instructions

The site did an excellent job inform me each time Lowes opens up to register.

I think that they want the kids to be around 5 at the youngest, but I was taking my son to them when he was 3 - my daughter was going to them and he wanted to go along. The staff never had a problem with him participating. I'm tempted to see if I can sign myself up for the Avengers kits... Big Grin

lol, I used to take my oldest daughter to these (and the ones at HD) when she was younger, now she's 9 I was wondering if she's too old, but I don't see an age limit on the website.

My little boy is 4, but he would love this. I would be happy to help him. I think I will sign him up.

You still can come on the day and be on the waiting list. Most kids at my Lowe's able to get their own kit.
