Hey slickdealers,

Excuse my english for it is not my first language Cool
Links are at the bottom of the post!!

Sooo.. I was trying to obtain the glorious Companion Pass by signing up for a personal and business Southwest Plus/Premier card to achieve 100K Pts. I found links to 50K rewards for the Personal on the Southwest Plus and Premier, but no luck finding the 50K promos for the Business cards(Only 25K point promos).

I called the toll-free number associated with the 25K Pts for Business Premier, and I asked the customer representative if I could somehow sign up for the 50K Pts. She told me I couldn't do it over the phone, but if I found a toll-free number associated with any promo online that it would be linked to that specific promo.

I remember there being a 60K Point promo that expired in April, but I took my chances and tried it anyways... IT WORKED! EEK!Smilie If you want to risk doing it through the online application, you can. I called the toll free number for the 60K points, and they gave me the promo.

After signing up for both and meeting the spending requirements, you should be sitting at 110K+ Points nod look around Cool

Hope it works for you guys as well! Good luck!!

Did you have to call to get the 60k bonus? Why? What did they say? It has expired but will still give it to you? Would appreciate more details. Thanks

Not sure I'd qualify for a business card. What constitutes being eligible for this card?

The landing page for the 60K promo says nothing about 60K points?

It only says 6,000 points???

And if you got it to work, please provide details about what you said. Don't worry about your English, only stupid Americans who cannot figure out broken English will complain....but they are stupid and we don't care about stupid people. Wink

I'm glad this topic pops up because I'm having a question that maybe one of you guys can help me.
So I read many topics about this Companion Pass and let's say if I apply for the Rapid Reward Plus card to earn 50,000 points this year and the points don't expire, can I apply for the Business premier card next year to earn 60,000 points for the Companion Pass, provided that there is such promotion next year??

Apply and make your business name your full name or make one up. That's what both my wife and I did a year ago February. The kids have been flying with us for free for the past 16 months. If you make a decent living and have a decent credit score, they won't ask many questions.

Edit - sorry, replied to the wrong post... tablet...

that is a 6,000 point anniversary bonus, not the signup bonus

Nope, I have the companion pass and you have to earn all 100k point in one calendar year. If you manage to earn all 100k points this year, the companion pass will be available for you to use this year (2015) and all of 2016.

The points themselves don't expire, but to earn the Companion Pass the points must be earned in the same calendar year. In the scenario you describe, the 50,000 points earned this year would fall off, and you would be starting fresh next year.

Also worth noting, when you earn the Companion Pass, it's good for the remainder of the year as well as the entire next year. So to maximize the value you would ideally want to hit Companion Pass early in the year so you get it for almost two years.

I signed up for the Plus online, and got instantly approved.
For the business Premier, I called in because the link doesn't have any flyer boasting the 60K bonus. He asked for my name, and recited the promotion for spending $3000 in 3 months to receive 60,000 points.

Goodluck!!

small correction.

Usually the bonus is 50k which would require us to get two cards and spend 10k to get CP. With this deal you would only have to spend 5k to reach CP status.

I just got my 60k business card last week. Am I right that I will not qualify to get this additional 50k bonus on the standard card if I apply?

I don't think you are right. If you are approved you would get the bonus. Make sure you use the same Rewards number for both.

You receive the 6,000 points each year for being a card member at your anniversary sign up date.
I simply signed up for the Plus Personal using the provided link, and I signed up for the 60K over the phone, so I could verify the points. Try it! Update me!
