Should I buy it now or wait for the new Win 10 machine?

Win 10 would just be an OS, if there's anything to wait for, it'd be the next generation of processors, which shouldn't be coming out anytime soon

Picked one up. Did a bunch of research and this seems to be one of the best deals out there right now for an upgradable ultrabook with touchscreen and qhd resolution. Upgrading my 4+ yr old asus i3 laptop which I still love, but even with windows 8 is still slow as molasses. Thanks op

TU from me but be warned that this panel has the horrible mustard yellow issue that the yoga 2 pro had.

This is the new Broadwell model with QHD screen. There are many, many models of the Zenbook -- this is the newest one. For the specs, it's a good price, though the screen worries me enough to pass.

Because a 1080p screen on a 13.3 inch laptop just doesn't have enough pixel density!!! We need 4X THE PIXELS!!! LMAO

Pointless comment. You're comparing two different laptops from the standpoint of "one only needs 1080p" to disparage the more expensive one. By that token, a VW GTI at $27K is a crap deal because you can get a regular Golf for $19K. Different strokes.

On the pro 2? I've heard they tried to fix it by "brightening" the yellows but I'm not sure that's really a "fix" to most people.

I have the UX303LN since September. It is the same laptop as the UX303LA with a different processor and graphics card.
It has a wonderful keyboard, very decent speakers and lots of great ports. The touch pad is an absolute joy compared to my 2015 Dell XPS 13.

There have been lots of comments on SD comparing the Dell to the Asus. While the dell certainly has some advantages (size, weight, battery life) the touch pad is how you interact most with your computer and the Dell's poor touch pad really ruins the overall package for me. I don't care how thin, light or fast a computer is if I find myself swearing every time I try to scroll or pinch to zoom.

I recommend jumping on this deal if you are in the market for a high powered ultrabook. The only downside is the 3200x1800 screen. I don't even mind the dark yellows, its just that Windows 8 has scaling problems so some things will be really tiny. My XPS has the 1080p panel and I find it to be a much more consistent experience. The screen is small enough that I have not found a real benefit to the extra pixels.
