This seems to be a great deal. I have one that i'm replacing that has a side burner but i never really use it. It also has the sear burner but in the actual grill and seemed to always get too hot if i used it.
I want to try the rotisserie and the sear side burner.

This does seem like a great deal the only issue might be that I've heard nexgrill csr is really bad

I bought one of these last Memorial Day. It's actually a nice grill for the money but you can tell it's not going to last more than 3 or 4 years. One issue I find with it is that it seems to burn through propane faster than any other grill I've used and it will get really hot if you let it. I've caught more than a few pieces of chicken on fire because of that.

I have never owned a grill that lasted more than 4 years, at that point it costs at least half of what a new grill costs to start replacing burners, etc... I generally sell it at a garage sale and buy a new one.

As for the chicken on fire - note to self, get a fire extinguisher Smilie

It's a rear burner on the back of the grill for the rotisserie. It has a separate knob for temp control.

According to the sign at my HD they said it was a $399 grill. All I know is that $199 for all this has to offer is pretty good IMHO.

Just my $0.02. I was looking at this vs. the other Char Broil's on sale and came across the amazing ribs article on it. They don't have the Char Broil grills reviewed but the fact that this one is a "avoid" is a little concerning.

you are right the reviews are very mixed. again this seems to be more of a $200 grill than a $400 one. but nice features (assuming they work well) for the $200 price.

I have had a couple similar grills over the years. They are pretty good for the money. The flame tamers are always the first things to go. They rust really bad within a year or two. It may help to paint them with high temp grill paint before using for the first time.

nexgrill also has an all stainless steel version for 279. it doesnt have the rotisserie but is a deal and you dont have to worry about rusting. I would get that one if I didnt get a new one last spring.

I bought a nearly identical nexgrill 3 years ago from HD and it's still going strong. Mine came with cast iron grate which lasted 3 years before it rust through, only around the area with high concentration of heat. The heat shield also rusted through in 3 years, I just bought the replacement for those on ebay for $70. I grill pretty often and it lasted 3 years, which is pretty good.
