Don't forget to add Freedom Friends for an additional 500 MB free per month. See the following link:
http://slickdeals.net/f/5276432-freedompop-friends?

Easy Root:
wugfresh [wugfresh.com]
there is a walkthrough here [theunlockr.com]

Download Stock Google Rom from here:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
[google.com].....

FP Rom if you need it: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=76174439&postcount=297

check the IMEI number for build date: http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=76177287

to check RTN settings:
dialed *#*#<number>#*#* or ##<number>#
where <number> is 786

If you are using a custom rom and using freedompop, you may not be able to use internet from Sprint.
There is a fix at http://forum.xda-developers.com/s...?t=2798619
After you install the custom rom, install the fix.zip file the same way as you installed the custom rom.

"Certified pre-owned"

Glad I got in on the Refurbished ones from Woot the other day.

It says "Not compatible with GSM network carriers (such as AT&T and T-Mobile)." Any different from Freedompop Nexus 5 previously sold in other deals since Nexus 5 has both unlocked CDMA and GMS.?

I think all CDMA sprint phones are not compatible with GSM or sim cards.

It's a nexus 5, it can take sim cards. I believe you just need to flash another rom (stock or one of the many others available) since freedompop's custom rom locks it down.

Did your phone look new or does it have some wear? Maybe this one is like b-stock and yours was a higher quality.

Or these websites are describing the same items with varying terms. I got in on the woot (owned by amazon) deal but was charged tax, this deal might save some on tax.

Actually I was able to use a sprint galaxy s5 with att but after a lot of work not directly, I think they ask if I can use it directly for GSM, still not sure for all models.

I am worried about the certified pre-owned refurbished thingy. Gives no mention about the condition of the phone. Will there be a minimum standard (no scratches on the screen etc.)?

You can use COUPONS15OFF100 to bring down the price to 135, new accounts get the first item shipped free.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. That's also the reason why they're not pushing the FreedomPop name on the ad.

Anyone know how they are locking them down to Sprint only? Says not compatible with T-Mobile, but unless they actually made hardware changes, flashing stock Google factory image should restore any restrictions.
