For those who want to stay with their contract
Found this:
AT&T will continue offering phones on two-year contracts in its retail stores and through its website, but it will instead be pushing its no-contract AT&T Next installment plans through Apple and other third-party retailers like Walmart.

Apple is already well prepared for the transition, as the company started offering iPhones on AT&T Next plans through its retail stores and online last summer. Apple is also preparing retail employees for the change, according to sources.

AT&T wouldn't comment directly on the news, but it said "Customers love AT&T Next, and we are continuing to focus on it as the preferred way that customers want to shop. We have 2 year plans available for those customers who choose them."

The original report from Droid-Life claimed some third-party retailers would still technically be able to sign-up customers on a two-year contract, but that option means you won't walk out of the store with the device and it will instead ship out from AT&T days later

GC option appears at end
It's a very long process to check out if you are upgrading. The GC option appears near the end after they send the approval request to your carrier and you get back a lengthy contract agreement.

There were several times where I thought I was on the last page only to find out there was more...

Is it a free battery and 32GB microSD, or is it a BestBuy $100 GC? Or is it both? If it's just a choice between the two, then I would go for the $100 GC. There's no way the extra battery and charging cradle is worth $100.

$670 for the AT&T black leather back models. Not too bad. No Tmobile models?
I already decided to get a Galaxy S6, but I wish these LGs do well too.

In the unpacking preview videos they came with 2 batteries, but maybe that was just a special packaging.

edit: It looks like you get both. Buy from Bestbuy, get the $100 GC and also do a redeem through LG site and enter your receipt information and all that to get the extra battery and charge cradle and microSD.

Free battery+microSD is from LG. So I think you will get both if you go with Bestbuy

The two battery unwrappings are from non-US markets models - Korea, etc. In the US we only get one battery in the package.

When I add the phone as FULL PRICE item, I do not see any $100 gift card in my cart. Am I missing something ?

Am I reading this right? The $100 Best Buy gift card is only for in-store pre-orders.

I can only order online on BestBuy.com, so I won't get the $100 gift card?
(in order to keep Verizon unlimited using the BestBuy.com method)

no TMO version means no-go for me
need wifi calling

really wish TMO would just come out with an app to enable this. don't really care about the handoff integration, i'll be willing to give that up in exchange to be able to use any phone i want

No T-Mobile = no go for me. Good deal nonetheless. T-Mobile needs to offer this deal!
