I looked and didn't see this posted. Seems like a slick deal for 250 and can be had for 225 with movers coup which a lot of current movers coups seem to expire on 5/30 I believe.

This seems pretty slick to me. For ~ $100 I would remove the 5400 rpm drive and replace with an SSD. Despite the hate the AMD processors get the APUs like the A8 and A10 are pretty snappy and allow for some gaming (more so then intels integrated graphics solutions).

I think we will see a lot of A8 and A10 laptops go on sale soon as AMD just announced its next generation of APUs (out with the old in with the new).

Looks like a good deal - thanks! But the title confused me. It looks like "$249.99 minus 225".

If this were a $25 laptop, I'd be in for a few! Wink

I have the A10 version of this with 16gb of ram, I am pretty happy with it for the most part. I bought this exact same A8 laptop for my girlfriend and she is pretty pleased with it.

The ram is upgradeable to 16gb on this one, there was some confusion about it the last time the deal came around. This laptop does have Superfish on it, so make sure to remove it using Lenovo's site when you buy, then run PC decrapifier.

Or just wipe it and install a clean version of windows.

Ah... I THINK this is probably single channeled..

if so... be weary... since gpu shares memory, and the bandwidth is somewhat lacking...

double check before you buy

I just ordered one.
I bought a similar Lenovo a few months ago, It had a larger HD
Bought another as a backup, and for the 6 GB memory

The trackpad can be an issue
It sometimes freezes
TONS of stuff Lenovo installs and runs in the background
And check for SUPERFISH....grrr

I use these for heavy surfing the net, and downloads. I am not a gamer
My review !! LOL

One thing I cant stand about lenovo is the stupid position of the Ctrl key - I keep making mistakes all the time, and the ridiculous way the function keys default to the alternates, and their crapware.
I like the mechanical keyboard though.

edit - hmm..i take that back - seems like they have regained their senses and put back the ctrl key in the right position

Bought this deal last time, returned it, son said it was "too laggy" playing Minecraft.

For those that buy, you can get a mover's coupon at usps.com under "Change of Address" on the left hand side right underneath "Hold Mail" for a buck.

Personally, not to TC, I'd hold out for a better system. New deals are popping up all the time, with this being the most notable lately: http://slickdeals.net/f/7807307-toshiba-satellite-e45-laptop-i5-5200u-6gb-ddr3-14-1080p-400-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch
