This needs FP!

Man this has been a great week for the alpha buyers from 2 weeks back. This will go perfect with the original alpha hard drive now that I have moved to an SSD. A small external drive to store all the unplayed downloaded steam games.

BTW the enclosure from March has been great. The only annoyance I have is it is seen as an internal drive most of the time, but that may be more windows. Nothing major, great speeds.

Can someone help clarify if this enclosure is compatible with a standard SATA drives and not only Solid State drives as according to the product's description?

Thanks OP!

Yes, it is not metal, but I've been looking for something I could swap out easily but in an external enclosure case.

Are people not using eSata anymore? I have an eSata port on my board, and was thinking of getting an external case/slot enclosure for doing backups. I haven't found USB 3.0 in practice to be as fast as sata. Anyone here finding USB 3.0 matches eSata in terms of speed?

Seems these don't support UASP for SSD's.

This Inateck one does and was a front page deal at $14 back in March 2015 .

Price now is $15 : http://www.amazon.com/Optimized-I...ds=inateck

I own one from last deal and it works excellent . On/off switch is also a nice added touch .

Still a definite TU for ops deal ! Wink
