definately lowest price I ve seen. Its a shame AT&T locked the bootloader so there is no way to obtain root access.

Ebay details state factory unlocked.

Edit: Got it - SIM unlocked != bootloader unlocked.

You should say that this is refurbished in the title, that means it's used.

That's not the same thing. Factory unlocked for other carriers does not mean unlocked for root access.

Locked bootloader is not same as SIM lock.

Sim lock would prevent you from using different mobile network providers with the phone while locked bootloader would prevent you from loading different ROMs on it.

It's one thing to live without custom ROMs, but it's another to not even have root. The price is so tempting.

Unlocked = can use the device on other carriers (this is the AT&T version)

Unlocked BL = can install non-factory firmware/software on the device.

This is a great deal on an unlocked, top-line Android device, though this being the AT&T version limits the customization options.

No it doesn't. It means it was returned to the manufacturer. Every refurb I have bought over the last 10 years or so has been in like new condition.

If you don't see the value of new vs used of any sort that's up to you but I agree it should state refurbished.
