Thanks for the encouragement. I did send a message. A poster on flytalker wrote recently that they have a 90 day policy which we are within. fingers crossed.

I would have applied for this if I hadn't opened and closed that many Chase cards in the past 12 months...

I don't think you'll be seeing Central Park through the window with those free nights - it's only Category 1-4 property.bounce

Sure about that? Just did this again in January. You can use your two free nights any any property worldwide. Used two free nights at Grand Hyatt in Kauai and two free nights at the Manchester Grand in San Diego. These are cat 6 and 5.

Nope. Any property worldwide.

Do yourself a favor and don't waste these. There are some beautiful Hyatt properties you can use these at.

So basically, the value in this deal is the 2 free nights. You can find some really high retail-priced Grand Hyatt and Andez properties!

From the perspective of a budget traveler, I can't find much use for 5000 pts. I think a lowly Hyatt Place stay cost 10,000 points more more. So, to get the other 5000 points, I need to spend a lot more money on this credit card. In comparison, Marriott and Holiday Inn credit cards give you 50,000 points or more as signup bonus, and redemption is usually 10,000 to 50,000 points.
