Hi,

Apologies, but I am not sure if this is the appropriate forum for the following query. If not, please let me know and I'll move it to the right forum.

I was looking for a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB drive and found it on http://mimionlinestore.com/index....uct_id=175 for $144.99. The price is lower than any advertised price I've seen on SD.

Since I've never heard of Mimi Online before, I decided to dig in a bit deeper and see the site was registered in March 27th, 2015. Site ownership is hidden behind Domain by Proxy. Street address on the website appears to be some apartment complex in Chicago! Not much shows up on Google!

I would appreciate any feedback on how to get further clarity on this websites legitimacy?
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

They don't have a wide selection, but some of their items are moderately discounted; the rest of their prices seem average.

They accept Paypal, so it should be safe to buy.

They only take paypal from the looks of it, which of course is the best payment option if you are dealing with unknown companies.

Their privacy policy and other terms appear to be copied from here:

The phone number gives 0 hits pointing to the company, aside from the hit on the actual site. No real business address, not that it's illegal to run a business from an apartment in Chicago but yeah...

No reviews of the company anywhere online

They do not verify your zip code when checking out for some reason (you don't even have to enter one)

Personally I wouldn't bother, but you should be covered through paypal should anything go wrong

I ordered a router from them on June 6th.
Their website says the order is complete.
I never got any shipping info.
I've send repeated emails and voicemails to no avail.
Yesterday I opened a dispute with PayPal.

I did get the item, even though they never sent me a shipping notice, or answered my emails. So all is well.
