Verified cards:
Gold, Platinum, Blue Cash, Blue Sky, SPG Amex, Hilton HHonors Surpass

Not available on:
Costco Amex

5x credit total for using at either Walmart or Target, Not 5x for Walmart + 5x for Target

WALMART DOES NOT ALLOW CERTAIN GIFT CARDS TO BE PURCHASED WITH A CREDIT CARD!
Forget Walmart, get them at Target.
Update: I was able to purchase American Express giftcards at Walmart. Got the credit from AmEx in couple of days. I purchased American Express gift cards, Walmart gift cards and other store gift cards like TacoBell and Olive Garden.
Update:
At my walmart, the variable load green packaged amex gc with the $4.48 fee required cash or debit only. However the gold packaged $100 amex gc with $5.64 fee accepted credit card payment. I did not try the variable load gold amex gc with $5.64 fee. No issues with the $100 visa gc with $5.44 fee paid with credit card. Still cheaper than target's $6 fee for same.

Always check your Visa/MC/Amex gift cards for tampering
I've noticed quite a few lately on the west coast. They cut the side of the package, alter the card and glue it back. Usually happens on the variable cards that go up to $500. If you find them, discard them so someone else doesn't get it.

Hopefully these offers show up in the morning for me (they usually do when the offers are shown the previous day or so).

But ATM I don't see it on my Business Plat, Business Gold, PRG, SPG, and Everyday.
