FYI,
I could only get 7BVDH6FX to work on the black one, not the other colors.

Scratch that, it was defaulting to a different seller.

I just got a wii u and am thinking of expanding the storage. If I got one of these and a 2.5" drive would it work well?

What is UASP and is it necessary? Also, are most SSDs 2.5 or 3.5 inches?

UASP is short for USB Attached SCSI. It greatly improves performance on SSDs when you are connecting them externally via USB 3.0. For Hard Drives, you may notice a performance boost too, but it won't be as prevalent.

As for SSDs today, most are the 2.5" form factor.

I bought one during the last deal and it works great. I don't remember the exact transfer speeds but it was up there with the fastest usb drives I have. Easy to swap drives out and comes with an optional pad to keep the slim drives secure.
