NEWER 2015 macbook is similar to 2014 in every aspect except a (much) faster SSD and improved graphics performance plus the new force touch touchpad iand about an estimated extra hour of battery life.

The 2014 for $700 off is more than worthwhile steal and you get your FREE added bonus bundle items.

(got a microsoft mouse and external DVD rom for free)

VIP membership is free

From what I understand you need to send them the original UPC (barcode?), meaning you have to cut a piece out of the original box. Can anyone confirm this?

Don't forget the $50 MBP + AC [4myrebate.com] or the $30 AC [adorama.com] rebates

Yes, I believe Adorama doesn't collect sales taxes unless it is being shipped to NY or NJ?

Ugh! I need help on this:

I just ordered a 2015 version for $2275 from abt and it's going to be here on Monday. I know that the 2014 and 2015 are essentially the same (for my purposes). What should I do? Refuse package and order this to save $475?

Not exactly the latest I don't believe.

Also, may want to add the free goodies you can select from and MS Office $72.99 as well as some other software titles.

I just recently sold this exact same model. Unless you are doing heavy graphics-intensive work or coding it is overkill. The battery life is not very good and it runs HOT. It would get so hot just surfing the internet I couldn't keep it on my lap. It does make a great desktop replacement though, but it's not very good as a "laptop" for portability purposes. I think the 13" is the best option.

I'm kind of in awe that this deal is even possible. I've been tracking MBP prices for years and never seen anything like this.

MSRP on this laptop was $2,499 until a few weeks ago when a newer (although mostly the same) version was released.

So you're basically getting $700 of the MSRP!

So tempting...but I'm trying to hold out for the Skylake processors, which will be released at the end of this year.
