...so they permanently fixed a keyboard to a Windows 8.1 tablet and removed the touch-screen components?

Hey, if it doubles the battery life then it's a great buy for some folks.

I got one for $100 from best buy late last year....I love this laptop. Keyboard and TouchPad feel really comfortable and natural to use, fast enough for everything I do (not a gamer), 10 hour battery life, very portable, etc.

One of my favorite buys.

Yeah, it looks like my T100 minus touchscreen and detachable keyboard.

Inc. tax, paid $161.00 for it in Feb. (kept being a day late & a dollar short on previous $100. SDs). Many folks here don't seem to think much of it (and many do, of course), but I really, really like mine. IMO, it's a pretty doggone good deal at this price. Repped.

I had gotten one around black Friday for 150 from staples... Loved this little machine. The screen, even for a TN panel, is not as bad as some lower end lenovo machines.

Been looking to get one of these...I love the one my wife has and it's perfect for what I need for work. I used the $15 promo code after buying a $150 gift card for Best Buy from another thread to bring the price of this down to $135. Ended up $147.55 after tax. Thanks!

I got this from Staples for $28 a month ago, open box.
I would probably pay $100 for another one.
$150? No way.

Picked one up when it was $170 a couple of months back - a gift for the wife to replace her decade old Compaq... Tossed in an SD card to make up for the lack of space..

Knowing my wife, who uses a PC primarily to check FB and do bills, I knew that battery life, weight, size and 'speed' were the most imporant qualities for her... Of course this is an Atom and so not going to out perform an i7, but for Office and Web Browsers, it's more than sufficient and is quite snappy to work with. She's also charged the thing like twice since she's got it because of the exceptional battery life in comparison to a traditional laptop - boots it up (very quick), does some work with it, shuts it down and sits it on the shelf...

Every time she uses it, she comments on how much she likes it - observations on everything from its speed to its size to its battery life... I am now considering picking one up for myself, as it would make for a great on-the-go web-dev machine I believe... I previously owned a Asus EeePC 1000he and loved it - was a faithful tank of a machine for me for more than half a decade before giving up the ghost about a year ago.

Has anyone been able to get on WIndows 10 upgrade reservation? I have not got an invitation on my X205TA, while it's active on my other Windows 7 and 8.1 computers. I think it might have to do something with only 11GB being available on disc on my ASUS now, as Microsoft says you need at least 15GB for 32bit upgrade option.

Got this from staples a couple months back for $150 as well. Well worth the price and great for traveling. Does the job if you just want to check emails, watch youtube videos, and light office work. Laptop is super light.
