Hello,
Amazon has the Dell Inspiron 15 i5548-4167SLV 15" Touchscreen Laptop NEW on sale for $500:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...ailpages00

This is similar to a recent FP post about the same laptop for the same price but that was LAST YEARS model. This is the 2015 Broadwell model (Intel Core i5-5200U). This one has backlit keys too.

I was about to buy it from the MS store here [microsoftstore.com] for $100 more until I saw it on Amazon.

UPDATE: There was some confusion about whether or not this machine is NEW or USED since it is sold from Deal Fisher and the Amazon page is kind of vague. Another SD user found the same deal on Ebay here [ebay.com] and that page specified this machine as NEW!!!

UPDATE 2: A Dealfisher customer service rep has chimed in to say that these machines are new AND Signature Edition. A good deal keeps getting better!
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Dealfisher seems to mainly deal in refurbs. It doesn't say refurb, but I am wondering due to the price.

Seems like a really good deal, wait a bit to see who can rain on my parade... as this seems like what I have been waiting for. I will take this time to see how hard it is to throw an SSD into it.

Why is it so hard to find a computer with dedicated graphics these days?

This is a very good point. As I take a second look at the amazon listing I notice that it doesn't seem to specify either way in my excitement for a good deal I assumed it was new. It is by no means an official answer, but as a test I put a couple of other new and used laptops into my cart. For all of the used/refurb items it was specified as used/refurb in the cart while the new items didn't have any specific labeling. This leads me to believe that this Inspiron deal is also new. But again, this is an assumption based upon the information available.

I will be sure to update the post if I see any information one way or the other.

I noticed a lot of laptops doing this. You can buy a usb gigabit adapter for $12. Kinda stupid that you have to do that, but it's an easy fix.

btw, rep to the OP.

Do you mean "without" dedicated graphics?
