These deals blow my mind. I just recently bought a set of T30's for about $175 delivered and have barely 1000 miles on them. I'm now going to get a T30 Evo rear and S20 Evo front for about $175 delivered from this deal! Why the !@#! are people paying $350 for Michelin PR4's? Do they really think they're twice as good? They're not. Great post man!

I've noticed there's a huge difference in tread life between premium tires and lesser quality rubber. Yes, I'm talking about a factor of 2x or even 3x. When you factor in the cost and hassle of changing motorcycle tires, sometimes the much more expensive tires turn out to be a relative bargain.

My philosophy is: compared to a car, I only have half as much rubber between me and a very unpleasant end to my ride. Motorcycle tires are one area where I'm pretty shamelessly snobby about buying high end.

Which isn't to say that Bridgestone doesn't make a damn fine motorcycle tire. In fact, I'm TUing this post and repping OP just because it triggered my deal alert and isn't yet another thread about "motorcycle-style" fashion footwear. Grrrr.

Repped for a motorcycle deal. Too bad I can't double rep for a REALLY GOOD motorcycle deal. I don't need tires on any of my bikes, but any rebate on sportbike tires is a rarity.

I agree, I think the big names get all the attention and some "lesser" brands get overlooked. I have been using Shinko Verge 011 and I've had no issues with them. They are single compound but I have pushed them pretty far, maybe about 1/2" "chicken strip." I only have a few thousands miles on them, mixed city and highway, but have been happy so far. I would like to run a Pilot or something once just to see what it's all about.

I do more touring type riding but I do enjoy pushing the corners.
Also, you motorcycle itself could impact life and riding style of course.

I did this deal x2 this spring when they had the rebate for dirt bike tires. I did it through Rocky Mt. Rebates came quickly. Wish this one was not just for street tires!

Any idea if they will honor the rebate for a purchase of a set of 2x 120/70-17 front tires?

So, I'm gonna need a new set of tires next season for a Ducati 1100 Monster, which currently wears its factory Pirelli Diablo Rosso II's that the rear was already flat-spotted with 3000 miles on it when I got it. I find them less than confidence inspiring, feeling very vague on tip-in (which obviously could be attributed to the uneven wear).

I loved the Michilen Pilot Powers that I ran on my previous bike for years, but those were only a single compound tire that wore fairly quickly as well (but still felt good). A friend has raved about their PR3's, and I hear the PR4's are even better.

I got in on the Avon tire deal here last year (put on the previous bike), and overall I found them to be fine, although much heavier than the Pilot Powers they replaced, slowing steering a bit, but for the $120 or so it was for a complete set of tires, I'm not complaining.

I haven't looked at a Bridgestone tire in YEARS, but I heard good things about the S20 a few years back. Any opinions here? Is the S20 EVO much better/different? I don't need an absolute street racing tire, but would like a tire that grips and wears well (so assuming a dual/multi-compound). The Monster is a light bike (claimed 400 pounds dry) with completely under-sprung suspension, and I'm 165 pounds sans-gear.

Can anybody please recommend a set of tires for my 07 ZX6R? I probably have 1000 miles left on my pirelli's but for next year I will need some. I do normal street riding and some mountain knee dragging but haven't done any track days yet. I'm thinking a touring maybe since I don't ride it crazy hard?

EDIT: Got a pair of the S20 Evo's. 208 - $50 rebate.
