it was $9.99 on Steam during the Summer sale. $7.99 is the lowest it has ever been.

Beware of the Walking Dead series. I bought it thinking I could use it with Steam, but it doesnt work with steam. Does anyone know how to get a refund with GMG?

Anyone know how this "mystery game" thing works? I'm thinking of picking up L4D2.

Just contact them via support and tell them that their website states "Third party DRM: Steam" and "This game requires a free Steam account to play" and that you solely purchase games for the Steam platform so that you don't have to worry about updates and are able to earn Steam cards, achievements or whatever.

GMG customer support isn't the best, but this may be your only option unless you want to contact your credit card company to dispute the charge. You can also threaten GMG that you'll dispute the charge for misrepresenting what they were selling if they don't refund you after contacting GMG support.

Note that the Walking Dead: Season Two page on GMG doesn't state anywhere that it requires a Steam account, so my suggestion only applies if you purchased Season One.

Best of luck.

What does it require? Or is it DRM free, and plays on its own? I would see that as an advantage.

It's a good point to remember that Steam originated primarily as DRM (began as hated annoyance/ barrier to gaming for many). That the service has become a trusted game Librarian has improved the relationship of gamers to their media. It's easier to rely on ONE service to host All the titles

GMG has been moving more to Playfire for their DRM since they are partners.
