Full specifications here (I left out some elements below):

http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/d...s/pd015734

Note: You can buy a Displayport to HDMI adapter cable at your favorite tech website for about $5-10, so HDMI should not be an issue.

Note: Unit looks to have an Expresscard/34 slot (successor to the PC-Card slot if that means anything to you), which is basically a PCI-E slot for laptops, so you can buy a Expresscard/34 USB 3.0 card on Ebay for about $7.

Bam, unit gets USB 3.0 and HDMI for $12. Problem solved.

unless specified T420 were 1368x788. 1440x900 was an option on the T420.

Picked one up fro $195 on Newegg a few months ago for a friend. Pretty decent compared to the haswell and Baytrail chips these days. 2x faster on most benchmark scores for about the same price and better build quality.

If you get this. Might as well pickup the docking station that's made for it for another ~$25 from ebay. Pretty simple and useful feature for using it as a desktop when at home. No cables to plug in at all, just drop it in, and it's ready to go with everything attached.

You're going to be looking for the "4337 Lenovo Dock" and a power supply should come with it. If not, you'll want the 90Watt power supply for the dock, part # 40Y7659.
http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/d...migr-72871

You can use two monitors while the laptop is in the dock (make sure you get that 90Watt power supply) using VGA and either DVI or displayport. (displayport AND DVI is not an option, VGA must be used as one)

The laptop does not have HDMI BUT it does have displayport. You can pickup a displayport to HDMI adapter for a few bucks or, better yet, grab a 3-n-1 displayport to HDMI/VGA/DVI adapter and no matter where you go, you'll be able to connect to a monitor or projector without worry. (do NOT get mini-displayport... you want displayport)
