- No returns once you open it.*
"Following items cannot be returned once opened
Software, Film, Paper, DVDs, Bulbs, flash tubes, Batteries, Ink cartridges, Notebooks, Netbooks, Tablets, iPads and Computers, Memory cards, any item which has been removed from its "blister-pack"."

- If you have kids age<5, avoid this slippery laptop or keep under a decent slim cover.

- Comes with HP 90 day manufactures warranty.

- New Leaf's Protection Plan sounds sketchy, poor reviews on BBB and their own website.

- Squaretrade does not offer protection plans on refurbished electronics unless purchased from Ebay or Amazon. Google searches make it sound like they'll sell a protection plan if the refurbished item has a 90 day manufactures warranty but when I called customer service they specifically told me they couldn't cover the laptop and they only do refurbished protection plans if it's from Ebay or Amazon.

- HP offers their own protection plans you can buy separately but a 3 year Accidental Drops and Spills runs you 360 bucks.

*Adorama customer service:
If an item is received defective or damaged in any way we will accept the return. The
customer will have a choice of a replacement (if still available) or their
money back."

This is a VERY nice laptop! I had one and just sold it a month ago b/c a) it only had a 128GB SSD and b) I already have a Surface Pro 3 w/ 256GB. I would have considered selling my SP3 if the x360 I had was this model.

This also is cheaper than what I sold my 128GB model for (it went for ~$800).

what's the battery life like?

Great laptop. I can get full day use out of it without charging. Best battery life second to dell xp 13 (non-touch) only because of touchscreen. The only real con is it gets slightly hot.

Really tempting. I have been looking at these, saw one in the Microsoft Store. Very nice build quality. This looks like about $500 off new for this configuration.

I bought one of these at best buy and had to eventually return it. The touchpad was, imo, terrible. Two finger scrolling was tricky, it wouldn't register some clicks, at times it was very jumpy as well. Changed multiple settings in the Synaptics driver, bios & drivers were up to date and it was still very finicky. Seems like experience with the touchpad is variable as some reviews say the touchpad is good while other reviews say the touchpad is finicky. Looking at online forums seems to reflect the same, touchpad experience can be hit or miss. YMMV but just my personal experience. I would have kept it were it not for that issue as it has a great screen, excellent build quality, and I like the multiple modes.

There is only a couple bad things. First its an all aluminum battery. The only advantage to an all aluminum batter is to use it as a heatsink. This does not use the body as a heat sink, so you have the added weight and thermal issues of an aluminum battery yet a fan and separate heat sink.

Second the touch pad is horrible. Tactile buttons are a must for most people. 3.29lbs Which is heavy for a laptop this size. If they just went with a plastic body it would be .5lbs lighter and not get hot/cold to hold.

I have this laptop, for me the touchpad seems perfect, extremely responsible even to light touch and finger movement. The keyboard and buttons feel deep enough to be comfortable for long periods of typing. Not sure where these guys are having trouble with their touchpads, but mine acts and feels great.

How would this stack up to a Lenovo Yoga 3 or 2 pro?

My buddy is looking to do some art on it, and a touchscreen appeals more to him than a Wacom or compatible tablet.
