I searched and saw old thread but listed as expired, hence new thread. I signed up yesterday and was approved, CSR confirmed the 50K bonus offer showing up. I never had the card but do have an Amex Gold Delta.

Have to use private or incognito window to show.

Looks to be a real YMMV. Incognito trick worked for me (otherwise it showed 25K offer). Husband and I were both approved. States rather clearly that it is not for current or former AMEX members or previous cardholders of this card. We both have other AMEX cards. I'm going to see if I can get by without registering the card online until after the bonus should show up... or at least creating a separate account.

Also, important to point out you get $100 airline credit each year (likely to work with buying $100 Southwest gift card).

You should be fine as long as you never had a PRG before (exact same product). Other Amex cards are fine.

I've had a previous PRG card before. Cancelled February of this year. What is the typical wash period for AMEX gold cards? Or is it not possible to replicate this deal?

I was approved for the same card and was told I am eligible. However, never received the points. They are saying I had that offer in the past (more than 2 years ago).

How's Amex with canceling cards after a year to avoid the annual fee? I've done it with Chase before buy never with Amex. Don't want to risk my relationship with them as I hold several other cards.

yep. same here. they lie to you. you have to ask them specifically whether YOU EVER had the same card product before. that is the only way you will know for sure.

by the way, is there any starwood preferred amex card sign up bonus?
