Just tried the Truffle Fries. It could have been great but they just didn't get the balance right, the predominant flavor was parsley. Shame they messed up the mix.

IMO Southern Biscuits and Gravy was the best out of all 4. Didn't like the Gyro or the NY Reuben one at all. If the Wasabi Ginger from last year's was participating again, it would have won again against all 4 of these imo

YMMV, I was in Walgreens here yesterday and didn't see them.

Safeway has full size bags now in a cardboard display near the registers but not on the chip aisle shelves. YMMV as to where they are located, our Safeway is pretty small so room is an issue there.

We have tried the Truffle (YUCK) the Gyro ( YUCK) and the Biscuits And Gravy (YUMMY!) I don't know why but we all really liked the Biscuits And Gravy one.

Well shoot! I actually saw all of the new flavors at publix the other day, and I was between the biscuits and gravy and the reuben and I got the reuben one. Now after seeing you two post I wish I had gotten the biscuits and gravy. I was just afraid the flavor would just be pepper. Did it have any other flavoring that you could tell? I haven't tried the one I got yet.

Ok. I tried the Reuben one. I actually didn't hate it. I'd almost think the main taste was pickle but I hate pickles so maybe it had some other flavor to it too. I'd maybe buy it again but I'm not sure. It wasn't one of those flavors I'd sit down and want to eat a ton of but a couple were pretty good.

The gravy one tastes very similar to gravy which is what's supposed to be. It's good but again nothing extraordinary. You probably had some other chips that had similar taste, maybe it's because of the seasonings they used. Gyro one was horrible, tasted really bad. Same goes with the the reuben but maybe not as bad as Gyro laugh out loud, I guess I could eat couple of more if I'm drunk or very hungry. Truffle tasted like old chips but still eatable. I bought all 4 and threw away 3 of them after trying couple of chips from each package.

I didn't hate the Reuben. I didn't Love it but it wasn't awful. I had originally wanted to try the Gyro one the most but after reading the reviews for it I didn't. It had such potential though. Same with the truffle. I'll definitely get the biscuits and gravy one next time I go, though. That's the only one I've heard consistently decent reviews for.

Yeah, that's the best way to describe it, the Truffle chips tasted old, like they had been on the shelf a long time. Add to that the overwhelming taste of parsley and they just weren't nice. I wonder if the heatwave gave the chips that old taste, I would guess that duck fat (which I love) and chicken fat combined with the heat here are a bad mix. July broke records here for hottest and driest July ever, less than 1 inch of rain for the entire month, in Seattle. Crazy

The Gyro ... OMG!!!!! We got the Gyro flavored ones at Walmart last night and Holy Mother of GAWD, they are awful!

I opened the bag in the car and almost immediately my youngest son asked "did someone take their shoes off? I smell stinky feet." Then I tasted one. Sick It's like .... like .... Gorgonzola cheese and stinky feet. Or the old padding you pull up from under a carpet that has gotten wet numerous times.

*HURL*


I called Lay's this morning and said "You know that "freshness guaranteed" sticker on the bag? Yeah, well, I would like to report this bag of Gorgonzola cheese and feet as outdated and I demand my money back!" The lady on the other end TOTALLY agreed. laugh out loud She said that Biscuits & Gravy is the best this year and that we should try those. They are sending me a coupon for a free bag.
