I think I paid around $50 for my 64oz HydroFlask, so this is solid. The special liner is really important - you don't want off flavors in your beer!

Your local Brewer may or may not fill these depending on how stringent they are.

Yep, which is why I linked state growler laws. AZ just passed non-glass growlers last fall.

Agreed. Unfortunately my local breweries won't fill growlers that aren't theirs. Make sure you call and check.

Any particular reasons why?

It depends on the brewery, they claim it's against the law to fill a growler that is not theirs. I call bs, they probably just want you to pay $15 for their growler haha

Hmmm, I've filled growlers all over the place and have never had an issue with them filling one that's not theirs.

Here is a list for you fellow San Diego people.

They're getting way more lenient as it helps the craft brew industry prosper.

Used to buy beer from micro breweries and take them home. Not going to buy 1 pint at a time Smilie

Sometimes it's laws. Sometimes it's perceived liability. Sometimes it's simply a business decision.

In general, breweries are getting more and more open to the idea of filling generic growlers... but it's an ongoing process.

Anyone sitting on the fence about these should pull the trigger. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better type of non-pressurized vessel for general beer or wet yeast transport.... and the price is the best I've seen by a margin. If I didn't own 3 similar models, I'd already have a 2-pack bought. The accessory this is missing, from my perspective, is a swing-top cap.... but I think the fact that the cap seconds as a cup makes up for that, and maybe then some. If this wasn't YMMV in store or a membership site online, I'd wager on it hitting front page. Nice find, OP.

What 3 do you have derbo, and what do you like best? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this.
