Every device I've told myself I'd get, install linux just for funsies, and actually do it, the device kind of ends up just sitting there with linux and is unused lol

Can you put in 4GB of RAM or is this one of the ones where it is soldered on the board?

Edit:

I see you can't upgrade, but still a nice budget machine:

These feel super cheap and some have loose track pads but, for a buck thirty, this is a great deal on a little couch Chromer.

For those who know. I need something to organize some word docs. I know I can use google apps to edit docs and save but how does chromebook do when it comes to print drivers?

Do you have a wireless printer? Mine is setup with google cloud print, so it finds my printer just fine. Even if you don't, it should still show up just like it would on any computer you have on your desktop. Think of it this way: If you can print from your printer using your chrome browser on a regular laptop, it'll work the same way on the chromebook as long as you're connected to wifi.

If I wanted to take my laptop to a office that had a network laser printer...would it be a issue or if I connect to their wifi, I should see it I'm guessing?

Not sure, are you able to detect the printer on other devices connected through wifi?

Printer has to be Google Print ready or connected to a Windows machine. Most printers these days are Google Print ready. Before I got a new printer, it was kind of a pain having to turn on my Windows lappy just to print a quick document.
