Newegg.com [newegg.com] has SAPPHIRE Radeon R9 290X 4GB 512-Bit GDDR5 Tri-X OC Video Card (New Edition) + AMD GIFT Dirt Rally for $280 - $20 rebate = $260.

AFAIK, this is the cheapest this card has sold for to date, and it runs virtually silent, thanks to an excellent cooler design. Note that the "New Edition" refers to the recent updates this card just received (see attached).

Discount is built-in. Any coupons floating around we can stack with this?
I know there's the $20 off for students.

edit: Amex Checkout takes another $10 off, I think. Haven't tested.

Seems I cannot use the student discount? I get this error message - "Error The promo code XXXXXXXXXXXX cannot be combined with combo deals or gift items attached to products."

Newegg must really love these free game bundles because it screws up every coupon code.

Now that's a load of crap. Offer a free mediocre game which makes coupon codes useless.

Yup, that's old hat for NewEgg, but on the plus side this is certainly the cheapest this card has been by a pretty wide margin, it is IMO the second best 290x ever produced (IMO the best is the Saphire Vapor-X), and no other reputable vendor comes close in price right now for any 290x. And since the next generation AMD version of this is mostly just a rebadge operation, might as well pick this up. On the plus side, since the 290x was rebadged to the current generation, AMD's already long legacy driver support should be even longer now. Smilie

Even though I posted the deal though, I'm skipping it as I already have three 290x's in my gaming rig, and my power supply cannot feed a fourth.

This model is only a few months old. Didn't even know Sapphire released a new rev.
Better PCB, better fans, etc.

Oh nice, I wasn't aware of all the changes.

Since they are making the next gen rebadged version with little tweaks, I take it they probably applied some of the small next gen changes to this 290x.

At 260 these are a steal. If I didn't already buy a pair of used evga gtx 980 FTW for $730 off fleabay, I'd be all over this.

Okay just ordered one, but before I ordered I contacted a rep via live chat to ask if there was any way he could apply my student discount, but he said it was not possible. He offered me a $10 refund after my ordered was processed so I went ahead and jumped on it. Will be $250 AR and if I can sell the game for $15ish it will be $235 AR. Not bad

Edit: I contacted them again and they applied the 10%, $20 max student discount to my order, which will be refunded to me once the order is invoiced. Smilie

Wow! This deal is pretty sweet! A hair of discount is much appreciated for this GPU. I believe this is the lowest price I have seen for a brand new product of this one. Really tempting!
