Good deal, several Satisfactory condition on pages 10-12, more scattered about.
Since I just bought two Toshiba i5's I think I may pass on this one and wait for something with a dedicated GPU.

What price do you expect to see for a similar laptop with a dedicated GPU?

Very good deal if you can get one in good shape and don't mind buying second-hand computers.

This is a one-generation old Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series, and has the redesigned chassis (a good thing). I purchased a new Dell Inspiron 15 7548 (current generation) with the same hardware configuration (but with one-generation later hardware) brand new for $799 + tax.

This series of Dell computers has the best screen vs. simular laptops. Very bright.

In the sub $400 to $500 range depending on the GPU, like this deal with the Y50, but most know about the hinge issue.
Honestly I don't plan to game with it, just nicer to have dedicated resource for video since Windows in general is a resource hog. Even certain versions of Linux, Ubuntu for example is demanding on graphics.

I'm also debating about the Dell Prescision refurbs, but there is a restocking fee hit so unless it is a grade A, or spec.to price ratio is favorable, then I may snag one..

Yeah, but I spent an hour yesterday setting it up for my mom and I'd have to go back there, repack everything, and repeat the whole process again. Her money, anyway. LMAO

By the way, before I uninstalled McAfee, this thing would only respond to keyboard commands every 20 seconds despite showing the Windows start screen right away. It took me around three minutes to log in and another ten to uninstall the crappy software (after the minute and a half it took to control-alt-delete it).
