Just me in a house with 2 carpeted bedrooms and a big area rug, no pets or anything. Would this be sufficient or overkill? It's within my budget, but if there's a better option for the price, I'd prefer that of course Smilie TIA!

I am about to pull the trigger. Any valuable feedbacks on this vaccum?

I have a cleaning service business and sometimes I use this vacuum.

For the price, this vacuum definitely worth it. It will suck anything that you throw at it as long as it's small enough to fit. One of my clients has 3 cats and they like to spread kitty litter all over the tall/deep carpets (bad kitty lol). Using this I was able to clean the carpets without any problem. Another thing that I like about this vacuum is how sturdy it is. Compare to many other newer Dyson vacuum (DC 40/50/65), this thing feels stronger and better build.

The only drawbacks about this vacuum is the size and the weight (probably why this thing feels more sturdy). This thing is HUGE, I've tried many vacuums before and this thing is probably the biggest one, and because it's also heavy, it can be a bit harder to control.

Thanks for sharing! Can't decide if I should get this or a Roomba.... I know the Roomba will be much less powerful, but I'm quite lazy and having a robot programmed to vacuum regularly sounds so damned convenient. Plus the Roombas can also get under couches, beds, etc while a regular vacuum I'd have to move stuff around.

I know, I sure am lazy.

Our Roomba is accumulating dust. Under couch height is small, doesn't clean all that well on wooden floor, clean area coverage is ok tends to get stuck between dining table legs.. may b it is just the case with us but it was not a good buy for us.

I don't have one but a friend of mine does and he doesn't like it. He even told me a nightmare story about it. My friend just got a new puppy at the time and still trying to potty train him so sometimes he has an "accident", one time when it happens, my friend was out of the house and the roomba was on. I'm sure you can guess what happens next (RIP carpet) lol. I think if your house isn't that dirty and you don't have kids/pets, it MIGHT be a bit useful, but if you do, it can make it worse.
