Great deal... Figured I'd finally replace my DIR-655 circa 2007. I think its finally feeling the weight of all the IoT devices connected to it.

limited warranty.

if I had not just changed my router to the netgear pseudo R6000v2 deal for net $45, I'd be all over this.

If you do not need the super-powerful wireless, consider the Asus RT-AC56U [amazon.com].

It has the same dual-core 800MHz processor, but it has less wireless power, it has no external antenna, and it cost under $100 new every day at Amazon and Newegg.
You mean it does NOT have "same dual-core 800MHz processor", since AC68P actually has 1GHz processor.

Yikes! My mistake. I thought this was the RT-AC68U.
RT-AC68P has an upgraded processor. Thanks!

the dlna/media server on the netgear R6300v2 firmware is pretty unstable. having said that even my RtN66u Asus was horrible at that.

when will we see a router good enough to serve my videos on dlna.

been thinking about it, but not in my budget and i prefer to keep my setups simple and number of devices limited.

This is a great router. Bought a refurb from Newegg via eBay about a year ago and have had zero problems.

Simple setup web interface, works perfect as a DLNA server with a good hard drive attached. I stream 1080p video and DTS sound no problem with this.
