Looks like an OK, cheap option for someone to pair with a 6-core 5820K, if they're not planning on a ton of overclocking or the biggest SLI config.

look like no one is buying the x99 if the price is $199. Should I pull the trigger at $150? They are cleaning out to replace with M.2 4x.

If you are already decided on skipping the DDR3, why wait for skylake.

X99 + i7 5820K with M.2 2x
vs
Z170 + i7 6700K

Oh wait, I will pull the trigger on this fully hackintoshable X99 Gaming 5 board at $99, 16GB DDR4 at $75, and 5820K at $288 again, Corsair/Antec Water Cooler at $35. which all of these are not too far away, in fact, black Friday is around the corner.

One more, Apple's official launch OS X El Capitain with list of new hardware support.

I wasn't able to get my promo code to work. I get this error "The Promo Code entered is either invalid or does not apply to any item in your cart."

Maybe it's not live yet
Has anyone gotten it to work?

You could order for in-store pickup, then present the promo code to the cashier to get the discounted price.
