LOL I was thinking the same thing as I'd want it to replace my 60" LG 60PV450. The 65UG8500 still sells for $2200 (Amazon) Frown, lowest was May 19th from Dell Home and Office for $1800.

These are going for around $1000 to $1100 now...

Does not have HDMI 2.0 which is needed for 4K @ 60Hz

LG is a better brand than Sony or Vizio - LG=A-, Vizio=B+, Sony=B to B-

LG is very good. above vizio and the same weight class as Sony and Samsung.

The specs show HDMI 2.0 (on other source sites).

Love your fist comment- very actively looking for one- can you direct me to where you can get a solid 60" UHD 3d (passive) tv for the price range you mention? Would even look at just 1080p for 800-900 even (passive 3d is my requirement though).

I will tell you I got this tv in the last deal. If you are used to a plasma. This tv not the best in picture quality. The Vizio m series is better. The blacks are not good at all on this lg. The good things is the Web os and the ios with angle viewing.

Where are you getting the idea it doesn't have HDMI 2.0?
